Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 9, 2026

1. Introduction

DeskClaw (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the DeskClaw desktop application and related services.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • Account Information: Email address and password when you create an account.
  • Usage Data: Message counts and token usage for billing purposes.
  • Payment Information: Processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your credit card details.
  • Website Analytics: When you visit deskclaw.net, we collect anonymous browsing data (page views, referrer, device type, country) via Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our site.
  • Advertising Identifiers: If you arrive at deskclaw.net by clicking one of our Google Ads, we capture the Google Click Identifier (GCLID) appended to the URL. The GCLID is an opaque token issued by Google and does not contain personal information.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain the DeskClaw service.
  • To process payments and manage your account balance.
  • To send important service updates and announcements.
  • To improve our product and user experience.

4. Local Processing

DeskClaw runs locally on your computer. Your files, conversations, and personal data remain on your device. AI requests are sent to our secure API endpoint for processing and are not stored after the response is generated.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Anthropic: AI model provider for processing your requests.
  • Stripe: Payment processing.
  • Google Analytics 4: Anonymous website usage analytics.
  • Google Ads: Advertising measurement and conversion tracking (see Section 6).
  • Telegram / WhatsApp: Optional integrations you may connect.

6. Advertising and Conversion Tracking

We use Google Ads to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. This section explains exactly what data we share with Google for advertising measurement.

How conversion attribution works: When you click one of our Google Ads, Google appends a Google Click Identifier (GCLID) to the destination URL. The GCLID is an opaque token issued by Google and does not, by itself, contain any personally identifiable information. Our landing page captures this GCLID in a first-party cookie, and we may pass it through the DeskClaw installer download flow into the desktop application so that purchases made inside DeskClaw can be attributed back to the original ad click.

What we share with Google Ads: When you complete a purchase inside DeskClaw, our backend may upload the following aggregated conversion data to Google Ads via the official Google Ads API (ConversionUploadService):

  • The original Google Click Identifier (GCLID) from the ad click that brought you to our site
  • The purchase amount and currency
  • The timestamp of the purchase
  • An anonymous order identifier (used solely for deduplication)

What we never share with Google Ads: We do not share your name, email address, payment card details, IP address, conversation content, or any other personally identifiable information with Google Ads. The data we share is used solely for advertising measurement and Smart Bidding optimization.

Cookies and tags loaded on deskclaw.net: Our website loads the Google Tag (gtag.js) for two purposes: Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-M1F1TR25EL) for anonymous usage analytics, and the Google Ads tag (conversion ID AW-18037677263) for conversion measurement. These tags set first-party cookies on your browser.

Your choices: You can opt out of personalized Google ads at any time at adssettings.google.com. You can also block cookies from deskclaw.net in your browser settings, though this may affect site functionality. Inside the DeskClaw desktop application, you can request deletion of any stored attribution data by contacting support@deskclaw.net.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted communications (TLS/SSL) and secure authentication mechanisms.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of your data.
  • Withdraw consent for data processing.
  • Export your data in a portable format.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the application.
